Emergence reflects the transformation that follows life’s most difficult moments. Born from experiences of uncertainty and hardship in the hospital, this work honours the strength required not only to endure, but to emerge change. To become stronger, more purposeful, and more deeply connected to life.
The painting also represents the profound act of giving birth: creating something beautiful after a period of physical and emotional turmoil. Through this journey, I emerged with new identities. As an artist, a mother, and a woman whom has been shaped by resilience. The textured layers of blues embody struggle and renewal, while touches of gold with white symbolize the hope and beauty that can surface from adversity. Emergence is a reminder that even after the darkest chapters, we can create, transform, and become someone entirely new.
